"But, the Grasslands are full of lions!" she replied.
"I know. But it is our only chance to survive." She nodded, still nervous. "Don't loose heart. It will be okay." She smiled a bit and told Derpa to go faster.
The next morning, Soot and Derpa finally got us to the Grasslands without disturbing the spies. Tired and weary, we stopped at a hut for shelter. Who opened the door was not a man, but a lion. He had huge golden eyes, golden fur, and a massive golden mane. Anakis almost turned and ran until a boy came to the door. He was tall, handsome, and if he wasn't a boy he would certainly pass for one of the lions. He looked to be about 18. The lion purred at us.
"My uncle Simbani gives you travelers greeting and welcome into his house. My name is Prid. Come in and have some food." the boy said. As we ate, Prid told us his story.

It's short, but my next chapter will be longer.

ReplyDeleteXD Short chapters aren't taboo. Whatever you are able to do goes. ;-D
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to hear more about Prid! Are you going to write from his POV next?
I'm pretty sure it's already up...
DeleteIt's not, Kayla. I'll get it up as soon as possible. :)
